Atlanta-based Georgia-Pacific filed a patent infringement lawsuit on Sept. 25 of last year in Delaware, alleging that a British-owned company, BPB America, illegally “borrows” patented technology used in the company’s “Dens” line of interior and exterior wall products. Georgia-Pacific’s president, Dave Fleiner, asserts that the company has spent a fortune on research and development of its moisture- and mildew-resistant products and should reap the benefits of the research.
