Coating with Colors

1 MIN READ

Drawing from a palette of 24 standard colors as well as its database of Benjamin Moore, Sherwin Williams, and Pantone color formulations, glass finishing company GlassKote USA can match nearly any color to produce custom finishes on glass for a variety of architectural and interior accent applications. The GlassKote treatment chemically and permanently bonds a durable and moisture-resistant color coating—including patterns, images, and textures—to the back of smooth or textured glass sheets. Color textures include metallic, opaque, translucent, sparkle, and fluorescent.

The most popular GlassKote applications are kitchen and bath backsplashes, countertops, shower walls, and cabinet doors, but nearly any vertical or horizontal application is possible, such as elevators, pillars, mirrors, partitions, steps, and floors. Many types of glass can be used, from tempered to etched and curved to slumped.

The glass can be fabricated to include cut-outs for electrical switches and any other obstacles that it will fit over. GlassKote glass is installed with adhesive rather than mechanical fasteners. Turnaround time is typically four weeks. 866.664.5683. www.glasskoteusa.com
