KB Home Exits Three Markets

1 MIN READ

KB Home made it official late last week when it reported that the continued slowdown in the housing market convinced the big builder to exit the Albuquerque, N.M., Chicago, and Mid-Atlantic markets.

Company spokesperson Lindsay Stephenson said KB had a minimal presence in those markets with roughly three to five communities in each region.

“I think we only had 15 employees in all the Chicago market, it was very small,” she explained.

Stephenson said KB will continue to focus on markets where home building is still strong, such as Texas and North Carolina. KB Home has now left a total of four markets, having exited the Indianapolis market last summer.
