Spring Sales

1 MIN READ

Irvine, Calif.–based Standard Pacific Corp. entered the Bakersfield, Calif., market with a bang this spring, acquiring local builders Probuilt Homes and Advantage Homes. The Probuilt deal—which includes ownership or control of more than 1,000 buildable lots—gave Standard Pacific a strong entry into Bakersfield. In BUILDER’s June Local Leaders listing, Probuilt was ranked as the No. 5 builder in the market. (The deal did not include Probuilt’s Santa Maria, Calif., operations or its backlog of presold homes.) The Advantage acquisition adds 670 buildable lots to Standard Pacific’s inventory. Terms of the deals were not disclosed.
