Growth Spurt

A report by the non- profit group Downtown St. Louis Partnership says that downtown St. Louis is in for a housing boom next year with the opening of more than 1,500 new residential units. Residential development has focused on the renovation of historic buildings, but as those are depleted new construction will be needed to keep pace with growth. Recent developments downtown are trending toward a broader price range, aimed at residents with higher incomes who want more amenities.
