Light Farms, a 1,070-acre community in North Texas along the Prosper and Celina border, is adding a new development phase, which includes the addition of an active lifestyle neighborhood named Sweetwater and an exclusive amenity center uniquely built for Sweetwater residents.

Homes in the Sweetwater neighborhood will feature 45’, 50’ and 60’ home sites with all single-story elevations designed and built exclusively by Taylor Morrison, which has an established track record of developing active lifestyle floor plans. Recently, Taylor Morrison was named America’s Most Trusted® Home Builder by Lifestory Research for the third year in a row.

The energy efficient home designs in Sweetwater and the community amenities – including security monitoring, wellness programs, yard maintenance and its own amenity center – are designed to appeal to a variety of home-buyer tastes and life stages.

“We believe the strongest and most-welcoming communities develop over time thanks to balance and diversity in all that they offer residents,” said Tony Ruggeri, co-CEO at Republic Property Group, the developer of Light Farms. “The Sweetwater neighborhood will offer home buyers that want to call North Texas home a new way to enjoy life at Light Farms.”

Light Farms opened in 2012 and recently celebrated the sale of the neighborhood’s 1,000th home. People are attracted to the neighborhood’s unique amenities and lifestyle programming and as relocations continue to accelerate in North Texas, active lifestyle communities and developments with multi-generational appeal are growing in popularity.

“Sweetwater complements the energy and lifestyle of the community at Light Farms,” said Dennis Ouellette, Vice President of Operations of Taylor Morrison. “We are thrilled to be working with RPG to deliver on a shared vision to offer our customers not just a home, but a lifestyle.”

Light Farms offers residents unique amenities including The Farm Stand Cafe & Market by Chef Graham Dodds, Constellation Park complete with camping grounds, dog parks and a sand beach on the community’s recreational lake, as well as five community pools, 240+ acres parks and green space, and miles of hiking and walking trails. Residents enjoy hundreds of unique community events programmed in the neighborhood each year. Future Sweetwater residents will have access to all that Light Farms currently offers, as well as a private amenity center, pool, and Sweetwater specific lifestyle packages.

The Sweetwater neighborhood will be located at the northern end of the Light Farms community, near the intersection of Light Farms Way and Sweetwater Way. Taylor Morrison anticipates new home construction kicking off in late spring with sales and model home tours beginning in Summer 2018.
