Randolph Todd Development and Crown Community Development on Wednesday announced the development of Meyer Ranch, a 691-acre single-family development in northwest New Braunfels, Texas.
The project, located along State Highway 46 and South Cranes Mill Road, will have nearly 1,600 single-family homes at build-out. Phase 1 homes are priced from the $200s.
“We are preserving the natural terrain as well as the old homestead building from the original German settlers from 1852,” said Randy Rollo, partner in Randolph Todd Development. “Our main goal is to preserve the land with sensitivity and give our residents a strong sense of community and connectedness.”
With over 200 acres set aside for greenspace, planned amenities in Meyer Ranch will include five principal parks and smaller pocket parks throughout, as well as an extensive trail system. The Community Green is integrated into the first phase of the project and will be the main gathering space for concerts, farmers markets, outdoor movies, and large community events. The Community Green includes an open pavilion, music stage, children’s play area and an open lawn.
In future phases, The Meyer Ranch House will be the primary recreational amenity for the entire community. It will include a clubhouse, community pool, recreation fields, a larger playground and other active recreational amenities.
“The spirit of this original cattle ranch has provided us with inspiration in guiding the land plan for this master-planned community,” said Rollo. “As a result of that inspiration, we have left hundreds of acres of natural ranch land for residents to garden, camp, stargaze and maybe get their hands a bit dirty.”
Meyer Ranch is conveniently located near I-35, shopping, downtown New Braunfels, Gruene and Canyon Lake. Students will attend the Comal ISD schools. Model homes are to open in spring, 2019.
