Standard Pacific announced that Dale Casey will take over the newly formed Bakersfield, Calif., division as president. He has been with the company for eight years, most recently serving as vice president of development planning for the Ventura division.

A.J. Jarvis is expected to broaden Laing Luxury Homes’ scope as vice president of land acquisitions and development. Formerly a vice president with Taylor Woodrow Homes, Jarvis plans to target coastal communities and affluent neighborhoods within Los Angeles, San Diego, Orange and Ventura counties.

Moving on from Lennar, Tom Brick has taken a position with Kimball Hill Homes. As the vice president of construction and quality initiatives, Brick will focus on improving construction training, quality, and service.

Texas-based Ashton Woods Homes named Chris Taylor president of home builder’s Houston division. Taylor previously was vice president of operations for Ryland Homes.

Shane Bouchard is advancing his career with Frontier Homes. Recently promoted to project manager, Bouchard will oversee land acquisition, sales management, construction services, and customer service for more than five communities near Victorville, Calif.

In Pulte news, Scott Christman was chosen for vice president of finance for the builder’s Orange County/South Riverside division in Irvine, Calif. The homebuilder also recently promoted Dan Guajardo from an assistant in the purchasing department to purchasing manager.
