Yes, narrow lot house plans can showcase incredible outdoor living. Just build up instead of out.

This new three-story home design shows how it’s done with a simple footprint that’s only 28 feet wide. And although it looks luxe, the home keeps square footage at a modest 2,096.

In other words, this is a surprisingly simple midsize home that feels upscale.

The exterior keeps things simple with board-and-batten siding and a touch of stone.

A patio on the ground level and two more layers of deck space create numerous opportunities for enjoying the day outside.

On the first floor, the garage sits in the back. A family room creates space for recreation or working from home, with a convenient powder bath nearby.

The main level sits one floor up. Here, the super-open layout creates excellent flow between the island kitchen, the dining zone, and the great room—and then out to the wraparound deck. A small office in back provides a place for taking virtual meetings.

Finally on the top level, you’ll find all three bedrooms. The primary suite steps out to a private deck and also showcases a walk-in closet and a large shower. Two secondary bedrooms share a Jack-and-Jill bath. A laundry closet makes it easy to throw in a load of clothing.
