HLS 2016: The Making of CalAtlantic

Two chief executives —Ryland’s Larry Nicholson and Standard Pacific’ Scott Stowell – became fast friends after the latter was promoted to lead his company in 2012. From the friendship, talk of a merger was born, and in June 2015 a deal was announced: CalAtlantic was born. In its short time, CalAtlantic has already made a big impression in the home building industry, including being recognized as the 2016 Builder of the Year.
