Found in nearly every state in the union, this ubiquitous architectural style is familiar and well-liked, making it a surefire neighbor-pleaser when it comes to new construction in infill settings. Add to that the carbon-reducing small house movement and demand for homes that fit on compact lots and you’ve got yourself a winner. With its pitched roof gables, shed dormers and friendly porches, the bungalow has a timeless charm that never gets old. To prove it, here’s a mix of new and old variations.
